FrameShift Theatre

Discover language and self-expression through theatre. Our English and Dutch workshops combine performance, communication, and creativity.

We run community theatre for adults, Theatre-in-Education programs for schools, and drama clubs for young people, plus flexible short play and production packages for a range of learners.

FrameShift Education

Inspire learning through creativity. We design workshops across subjects and levels, led by experienced educators and tailored to your school or programme.

Our team offers drama lessons, curriculum support for IB, CKV, CAS, TOK, and Arts programmes, as well as teacher training and guidance in arts education and planning.

FrameShift Community

We create projects that connect people through art, storytelling, and shared experience. Our work includes festivals, intercultural and verbatim theatre, and partnerships linking schools with museums and cultural organisations.

We also develop living archives, artist residencies, and arts-based initiatives that foster wellbeing, belonging, and youth leadership.

Meet the Team

FrameShift Collective is co-founded by two storytellers who believe in the power of creativity to connect people, schools, and communities.

Together, Anabel and Roald shape a collaborative, story-driven collective built on the belief that FramShift Collective can inspire, educate, and create lasting change.

Anabel Hull

Arts Educator, Qualified Teacher, Storyteller, Co-Founder

Anabel is a qualified teacher, arts educator, and storyteller with over 25 years of experience in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, and Hong Kong. Trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, she has taught Drama and Theatre across GCSE, A-Level, PYP, MYP, and DP programmes.

With a passion for storytelling and community-building through the arts, Anabel brings expertise in concept-based curriculum design, intercultural education, and creative project leadership. In the Netherlands, she is Cultural Coordinator and Theatre teacher at a Dutch international school, where she builds meaningful partnerships, shapes cultural and creative policy, and leads ambitious multidisciplinary projects. She is the driving force behind the collective’s educational vision.

Roald Blijleven

Theatre Practitioner, Actor, Storyteller, Co-Founder

Roald is a theatre practitioner and storyteller with more than 20 years of experience in community theatre. A TEFL-qualified English teacher and professional actor, he has taught English, English through Drama, and Theatre to students aged 2 to 18. His background in educational theatre, music, and puppetry fuels his dynamic approach to inspiring learners of all ages through creativity and performance. In Hong Kong and the Netherlands, he has worked extensively with learners, schools and community arts groups, developing performances, productions, and participatory theatre projects. He is the driving force behind the collective’s performance vision.
